Terms and conditions

Last updated October 11, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Storequode website, marketplace, account area and related services (together, the “Platform”). By creating an account, applying to sell, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About Storequode

Storequode operates an online marketplace through which customers can discover and purchase products from Storequode and independent third-party sellers. The seller responsible for an item is identified on the relevant product, basket or order page.

When an item is marked as sold by Storequode, Storequode is the seller. For an item sold by an independent seller, that seller is responsible for the product, its description, quality, legality and fulfilment, while Storequode provides the marketplace, ordering and support services. Nothing in these Terms removes any responsibility imposed on Storequode or a seller by applicable law.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to place an order or operate a seller account.
  • You must provide accurate, current and complete information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for protecting your password and for activity carried out through your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • You may not impersonate another person, create an account using false details, or use the Platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

3. Product listings and availability

We and our sellers aim to present product names, images, descriptions, quantities, availability and prices accurately. Images may be illustrative, and colours or packaging can appear differently depending on the device or may change without affecting the essential nature of the product. For products sold by weight, the final supplied quantity may reasonably differ from the estimate shown.

All products are subject to availability. Placing an item in your basket does not reserve it. We may correct genuine errors, remove unlawful or unsafe listings, impose reasonable purchase limits, or cancel an affected order. If an unavailable or incorrectly priced item has already been paid for, the applicable seller or Storequode will notify you and arrange the refund required by law.

4. Orders and formation of the contract

Before placing an order, you can review the items, quantities, seller, delivery or pickup selection, payment method and total cost, and correct errors. By selecting the final order button, you make an offer to buy the items in your basket under these Terms.

An order acknowledgement confirms that we received your order; it does not necessarily mean every seller has accepted it. A contract for an item is formed when the relevant seller accepts or begins processing that part of the order. A basket containing products from more than one seller may create separate sales and may be fulfilled in separate parcels, even though Storequode presents one checkout and order summary.

Your order record remains available in your account. You should also save or print your confirmation and these Terms for your records.

5. Prices, charges and payment

Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the Platform. Before you place an order, checkout will show the product total and any applicable taxes, delivery fees, discounts or other charges. The total shown at final checkout is the amount payable, subject only to a correction of an obvious error permitted by law.

Available payment methods may include cash, card or mobile money on delivery or at pickup, as well as eligible Storequode credit or gift cards. The options actually available are shown at checkout and can vary by order or location. You authorise Storequode, the seller and their payment providers to process the payment and related transaction information required to complete or refund the order. Never disclose a mobile-money PIN or card security code to a seller or courier.

6. Delivery and pickup

Delivery dates and time windows are estimates unless expressly agreed as fixed. We or the seller will fulfil the order within the period displayed or agreed with you and, where no different period is agreed, within the time required by Ghanaian law. Delays may occur because of traffic, weather, availability, access restrictions or events beyond reasonable control; we will provide updates where practicable.

You must provide a complete delivery address, a working telephone number and safe access for delivery. If nobody is available, or the address is inaccurate or inaccessible, reasonable redelivery or storage charges may apply where disclosed to you. For pickup orders, bring the order confirmation and any reasonable proof of identity requested at the selected location.

Please inspect the order promptly. Report missing, damaged, spoiled, unsafe, incorrect or materially misdescribed items through the Contact page as soon as reasonably possible, including the order number and suitable photographs where relevant.

7. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Before dispatch

You may request cancellation from your account while the order or relevant seller shipment is still eligible for cancellation. If it has already been dispatched or prepared for pickup, contact us and the return rules below will apply.

Statutory cancellation rights

For eligible electronic transactions, Ghana’s Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772) generally allows a consumer to cancel a purchase of goods within 14 days after receiving them, without reason or penalty. The consumer may be responsible for the direct cost of returning eligible goods. This right is subject to the statutory exceptions and does not limit any other right available under law.

The statutory grace period does not apply to certain transactions, including food, beverages or other everyday-consumption goods delivered to a home or workplace; perishable goods; goods made to a customer’s specification; goods that by their nature cannot be returned; unsealed software or recordings; certain publications; and other categories excluded by law.

Faulty, unsafe or incorrect products

The exceptions above do not prevent you from raising a legitimate complaint where a product is faulty, damaged, spoiled, unsafe, incorrect, counterfeit or materially different from its description. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, the remedy may be replacement, exchange, repair, price reduction or refund.

Return conditions and refunds

Unless the product is faulty or the law provides otherwise, returned goods must be unused, complete and in substantially the condition received, with seals and packaging intact where reasonably necessary. Do not send a return without obtaining return instructions. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method or another agreed method within the period required by law. Store credit or gift-card amounts used on a cancelled order may be restored to the relevant balance.

8. Promotions, coupons, gift cards and store credit

Promotions and coupons are subject to their displayed dates, eligibility rules, minimum spend, product or seller restrictions and redemption limits. They have no cash value unless the law requires otherwise. We may reject or reverse a benefit obtained through error, manipulation, duplicate accounts or fraud.

Gift cards and store credit may be used only in the manner shown on the Platform. Lost access credentials should be reported promptly. Any expiry, transfer, refund or redemption restrictions will be disclosed when the value is issued and remain subject to applicable law.

9. Reviews and other user content

You may submit honest reviews and other content based on your genuine experience. You must not submit content that is false, misleading, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, obscene, unlawful, commercially promotional, copied without permission, or that exposes another person’s private information.

You retain ownership of your content but grant Storequode a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format and display it for operating and promoting the Platform. We may moderate or remove content that breaches these Terms, while preserving fair criticism and applicable legal rights.

10. Seller-specific terms

If you apply for or operate a seller account, you also agree to:

  • provide truthful business, identity, contact and payout information and keep it current;
  • list only lawful, safe and genuine products that you are authorised to sell;
  • maintain accurate stock, prices, descriptions, expiry information and fulfilment times;
  • comply with product-safety, labelling, tax, licensing, consumer-protection, privacy and other applicable obligations;
  • fulfil accepted orders, handle complaints and honour returns, refunds and warranties required by law;
  • protect customer information and use it only to fulfil orders or meet legal obligations; and
  • pay the commission and other charges disclosed in the seller application, dashboard or a separate seller agreement.

Seller earnings become available in accordance with delivered and paid orders, less applicable commission, refunds, reversals and adjustments. Payouts are subject to the displayed minimum amount, identity and account verification, fraud checks and the chosen payout provider’s processing time. We may pause listings, orders or payouts while investigating fraud, unsafe goods, chargebacks, legal violations or a material breach of these Terms.

11. Prohibited use

You must not interfere with the Platform’s operation or security; scrape or copy it at scale without permission; introduce malicious code; bypass access controls; manipulate reviews, prices, promotions or stock; use another person’s payment details without authority; buy or sell prohibited goods; or use customer information for unsolicited marketing.

12. Intellectual property

The Storequode name, logo, Platform design, software and original content are owned by or licensed to Storequode and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Platform for its intended purpose. Seller product names and marks remain the property of their respective owners.

13. Platform availability and third-party services

We aim to keep the Platform secure and available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, connectivity failures and third-party services may affect availability. Links, payment services, mapping services and seller pages operated by third parties may have their own terms and privacy notices.

14. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or reduces a consumer’s mandatory rights. Subject to that rule, Storequode is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.

For products sold by an independent seller, that seller remains primarily responsible for the product and its fulfilment. Storequode may assist with communication and dispute resolution but does not guarantee every independent seller’s acts or products. Sellers remain responsible for claims, losses and regulatory consequences arising from their listings, products, conduct or breach of law.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Platform or request account deletion at any time, subject to outstanding orders, disputes and records we must retain by law. We may restrict or close an account, remove content or cancel access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate suspected fraud or illegality, comply with law, or respond to a material or repeated breach. Where appropriate, we will explain the action and provide a way to contact us.

16. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how Storequode collects, uses, shares, protects and retains personal information. Sellers that receive customer information must also comply with applicable data-protection law.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Platform, law or business practices. The revised version applies from the date published. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably practicable. Terms in force when you placed an order continue to govern that order unless a change is required by law or you agree otherwise.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and transactions made through the Platform are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a complaint with the relevant seller. If it is not resolved, either party may use any competent regulator, alternative dispute-resolution process or court available under Ghanaian law. Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from using a mandatory remedy available by law.

19. Contact

Questions, complaints, cancellation notices and return requests can be submitted through our Contact page. Include your name, order number and enough information for us to investigate. Current operator contact details are shown on that page and in the footer.
